About The Artist
My name is Lindsey Aoun, and I am a survivor. Throughout my life, I experienced various traumas and struggled with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Painting has been my lifeline, my therapy, and my voice. Through painting, I have been able to express my emotions, heal my wounds, and reclaim my identity. I have been able to cope with my past, heal my present, and envision my future. Painting has also given me a purpose, a passion, and a platform to share my story and inspire others going through similar struggles.
My paintings reflect my journey from the darkness to the light, from the pain to the joy, from the fear to the courage. I use vibrant colors, dynamic shapes, and symbolic elements to convey my feelings, experiences, and messages. I paint with acrylics, oils, and mixed media. I experiment with different techniques and styles. I draw inspiration from nature, spirituality, art history, and everyday life.
My goal as an artist is to create art that is honest, meaningful, and beautiful. I want my art to touch the hearts and minds of the viewers, and to spark a dialogue and a connection. I aim to raise awareness and empathy and to offer hope and support for other survivors. I want my art to invoke healing, growth, transformation, and empowerment. I would like for my art to make a difference.
I am growing and learning with each brush stroke as every piece seems to pull out a different part of me. If you don't like my style that is ok, I hope you at least leave my page knowing you are not alone. We are all going through our own journey, some may be on a darker or rockier path than others, but the destination is the same. Be willing to let your light shine and embrace your imperfections, as we are all Perfectly Imperfect.
Thanks for spending a little time in my world. I'll try to update the artwork as frequently as possible. If you are interested in purchasing any artwork or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at perfectlyimperfectbylaoun@gmail.com.Â
